Gîte
Maintenance in Languedoc
What
does a gîte maintenance company do?
Essentially
their job is to take the strain and stress out of owning
a gîte in France by being there and doing the things that
gîte-owners can't always do. You may be based 6 months or
more of the year abroad, out of France, and need people on
the ground to look after your property.
A
Gîte maintenance company will look after security (key-holding),
gardening (watering, pruning, hedge-clipping, lawn-mowing)
and pool maintenance. But above all these local companies
are used for changeovers and laundry.
They
will be there on the Saturday morning to see your tenants
off the premises
before stripping the beds, cleaning the house, the kitchen
and the garden area in time for the new arrivals in the
afternoon. Some even propose a 'food pack' service where
they stock the fridge with staples for the incoming tenants.
